Think It, Write It Down and Be Fit AF! | OYNB Podcast 001

OneYearNoBeer Podcast Episode 1 – with Jamie Alderton

Welcome to our brand new podcast! In our very first episode, One Year No Beer Co-Founder, Ruari Fairbairns, talks to Jamie Alderton. Jamie, a fitness model, body transformation coach and a WBFF Pro model, runs the award-winning “Mindset with Muscle” podcast, and has helped thousands of people transform their lives.

The One Year No Beer challenge is all about improving your life, wellbeing, fitness, health and happiness, while putting booze in its place. In this episode, Jamie talks in brief (sorry ladies, but no, that is not literal) about joining the British Army and becoming immersed in a massive drinking culture as a young lad. After leaving the army he wasn’t sure where to go next and stumbled across natural bodybuilding. He now inspires thousands of people through his gym, online training and podcast, to lose fat, build muscle and get into the best shape of their lives. Check out for a free two-week training plan!

Goal setting is key

itunes-buttonListen as Jamie puts a spotlight on the crucial first step to becoming happy and healthy AF: setting goals. (AF means alcohol-free, by the way.) And yes, this cannot be emphasised enough – you have to write them down. Jamie says it best in this episode: “A lot of people know that they want to do something with their life . . . The problem is, if it's in your head, you tend to ignore it, but when it's on a piecestitcher_button of paper, it tends to be slapping you in the face.”

To hear more detail and other unfiltered insights from Jamie and his no BS approach to transforming your life and why it’s important to be fit AF, listen to episode one now! Subscribe on iTunes or Stitcher.
